👩‍💻 About Me

My name is Tianhui, pronounced "tee-an-hway" and I am a Computer Science student at uWaterloo who is passionate about learning innovative technologies to make cool projects that can (hopefully) impact the world.

When I'm not coding or completing coursework, I enjoy running, playing volleyball with friends, learning new recipes and playing pieces on the piano. Fun fact: I used to teach piano! I am also very interested in learning about fashion trends and discovering creative ways to style simple clothing items.

⚙️ My Projects

As I continuously develop my technical skills, I am always looking for new learning opportunities. These are some projects I have created at Hackathons — this will be a growing collection. 😊

ShotSpot is the first Instagram-based application that provides users with the best photography hotspots. The web app is build on Node.js and interfaces with the Google Maps API to deliver real-time top IG posts in the searched city.

Demo Site Devpost

CalorEats is an Android calorie tracker that uses Computer Vision. Simply capture an image of your food item and the app will use the Nutritionix API to track the calorie and nutritional value of the product. Forgot to take an image of your food item before you ate it? No worries, users can also search their food item.
